Celia produces audiobooks for print-disabled readers of all ages. Their audiobooks are for people who cannot read ordinary print because of a visual, physical or learning disability.
The library has a small collection of Celia audiobooks on mp3 discs for borrowing.

Home library service
Home delivery is available for Vaasa residents who are homebound due to age, illness or disability. The service is free of charge.
As a customer you will receive a monthly delivery (excepting July) of library materials of your choice.
Following the first contact, the home library service staff interviews the potential customers to verify their eligibility and to create a customer profile.

Library services for immigrants
Library is a place where everyone is welcome. In the library, you can spend time and meet friends. You can also read and borrow books. It does not cost anything to use the library.
The library has study books and dictionaries to help you learn Finnish and Swedish. The library offers also children’s books, novels and nonfiction books.
Multilingual Library offers people living anywhere in Finland a chance to read literature in their native language. Multilingual collection is situated in the Helsinki City Library – Central Public Library, but you can ask for these items through your own local library.
PressReader is a large international newspaper portal. It provides you online access to newspapers and magazines from over 100 countries and in several languages.
Welcome Office is an information office for immigrants. They will help you find information about immigration, Finnish society, recruitment and government services. Welcome Office is located by the Public information centre on the first floor at the main library. Their services are free of charge.
The library will not accept any groups for the time being.
You can book a guided tour of the library for your group. Choose a tour of the whole library or a specific section. If you are unsure what kind of tour would be best for your group, we will be happy to advise you. If you want to bring your group to the library, please contact us at least two weeks in advance.

Pop up library
The pop up library brings the library out beyond its walls to you. Spot the book bike Laina at the railway station, the market square, a shopping centre, or a public event. Visit the pop up library to borrow books, renew your loans, and to find out about library services.
Invite the pop up library to your public or private event. We will bring a selection of books and other materials handpicked especially for your event. Please, contact us at least a month in advance to make sure that the book bike is available on the date of your event.
